Can I keep 3 male and 3 female society finches together in a big flight cage without an issue?

Re: can I keep
If you do keep an eye on them to make sure the males are not pestering the hens with wanting to mate, it can be stressful on the hens. No nests if not breeding.

Tish@Stuart whiting"@cindy I'm going to combine these two topics, leaving it as one topic in the Housing forum. Six Societies should be fine in that cage, but I would watch out for breeding behavior. If you aren't interested in breeding, it would be far easier to have all the same sex.

Tish
Socie's, truly love each other's company, so keeping several of them in a flight never seems to be an issue. They will snuggle and cuddle together.
If you don't want babies, then keep nests and nesting material out of the flight. If nests are provided, Socie's will breed like bunny rabbits.
Make sure to provide cuttle bone and crushed egg shells for calcium.

Re: can I keep
I won't be adding a nest. I can't have any more then 6 finches. I already got them today. A nice man from Richmond Hill had 2 males and 2 females for sale and he was nice enough to deliver them. So I hope after the quarantine period they all get along. How long should I quarantine them for before I put them with my other 2?
