Urgent help for zebra finch baby
My two pairs of zebra finch has abandoned two of its babies and one is now dead other one is alive.
Since it's midnight for me, none of shops are open at this time, I fed baby with some egg mixed with honey and water. I'll buy formula and stuff tomorrow.
Can the little baby survive?

do not use honey... it can carry botulism, they recommend not to use honey with infants since their immune system is very immature, same with baby birds. It is also high in sugars which could encougage yeast growth.

Re: Urgent help for zebra finch baby
It depends on why the other passed and the parents stopped feeding, were they disturbed, could the parents carry an illness, cocci, protozoa, parasites and passed it to the young. Even if the parents appear well they can be carriers. Also, was it genetic?

How old is the baby? You can take the yolk from a hard-boiled egg, mash it up, and add water to it to get it to the right consistency--very thin and watery for a newly-hatched bird, like pudding for one that has feathered out, in between for one not quite that old.

Couple of things can effect the breathing... cocci, internal parasites (not ASM), fatty liver (yellow meringue like fat pads, result of the liver not workings well or compromised), trichomonas, enlarged heart.

Re: Urgent help for zebra finch baby
was the baby chilled? often when little ones get chilled for long periods of time the organs will start to shut down, kidneys usually go first... get the baby warm in a brooder at least 94 degrees.
Hydration is vital asap, make a broth like formula (in your case egg) and feed. Yeast and fungal start to set in when babies get chilled for long periods.... if you do not have medistatin you can add a drop or two of ACV in the formula.... Apple cider vinegar
this section is very helpful.... http://www.finchinfo.com/breeding/handfeeding.php

babies that young will move and open the mouth like begging since their eyes are not open and they are reacting to stimuli/touch.
Chilled...cool or cold when you picked them up.
