The makings of my flight cage...

So here are some images of the making of my flight cage... the space it's going "live" really. It will be 68" wide x 46" tall by 20" deep. The top of this cabinet is open (for ventilation). The cage itself is still being built (by Affordable Custom Cages in Ely, NV). Check it out: http://jonverde77.vpweb.com/current-project. Anyway, I'm taking it slow, doing a lot of research and purchasing the best seed, supplements, etc. (all recommended by this forum and by the books I've read). Enjoy the pics! PS, my flight cage should be here around Sept. 17th.... SUPER Excited!

The cage can hold 8-10 finches, but I'm going to stay at 8 (so I don't overcrowd). I'm going to have 2 goldians, 2 owl finches and 2 cordon blues!

Can't wait!

DAAAAYUUUMMMM!!!! I am really jealous of your flight cage! that's like... an excellent substitute for a TV! :D

personally I would also add canaries there, they would love the indoor environment and their singing makes your living room (or whole house) more lively... but this is your cage, you decide ^_^

oh btw, I'd like to befriend you on facebook so I can comment on the pics :)

That is awesome! I had thought a while back about doing that inside an old entertainment center that we no longer have a TV for. It is the type that has a bridge and we took the bridge out and slid the end pieces together as a sort of holder for CDs, DVDs and knick knacks, etc. It is even already lighted. But, that never happened and I got flights instead.
