There are so many, but everyone has their preferences about what to add to the hard boiled eggs. I put mine in a food processor and add either, Petamine, Kaytee handfeeding formula with some dried eggfood mix. Pulse about five times and it's done. I know others add things like bee pollen or other supplements and some even add veggies. My finches won't eat the eggfood with veggies, but they love it as I make it, so it's crumbly and not wet.

I mix the egg with CEDE eggfood and I add poppy seeds.
I used to use Orlux Native Bird but I had trouble finding it.
I use one egg with three tablespoons of eggfood and one tablespoon of poppy seed.

Giving your EGF greens like Kale, Romaine, Spinach or leaf lettuce everyday will help your bird get the bright yellow wing bars and a bright red mask. You can also try adding grated carrots to cooked couscous. I add nyger, hemp or poppy seeds to make them want to try it.

Just two things I would add to jonvill's advice: I would also feed them some sprouted seed mix (so much more nutritious than dry food) and expose them to sunlight for a few hours a day if possible. My aviary has sunny and shady areas so my birds can choose how much sunlight they want.
