Keep nests in cage?

I went ahead and bought my two male zebras the flight cage from Petco because I thought that would help them stop fighting. Well, it has not.

There are two bamboo nests in the cage which came with the birds when I got them. Should I try taking the nests out? Would that stop the fighting?

FinchyFaith I don't think that would make much of a difference, but you can deffinetely try and see how it goes. Sorry they are fighting.

I feel like it's taking the fun out of the hobby for me. And I definitely feel like they are stressed.

FinchyFaith I don't know what to say.... I can see that take all the fun out of it too.
BTW, if you are ever considering, Societies are an awesome species. If you really can't take the fighting, maybe you can getsome societies. OR get another cage and get societies lol

I was having issues with my 2 zebs fighting. I tried a larger cage, double the food/water dishes, added greenery, and a butt load of perches. In the end, the only thing that helped me was removing the nests. I don't know why it stopped it, but it did.
Hopefully the above suggestions help! Don't give up on your birdies. They really are wonderful to have when they're not being brats.

I would remove the nests. They don't need them and they are probably the source of the issue with your finches fighting.

I would also advise removing the nest. It's cute to see them sleeping in it but they don't need it. And the cute factor gets way overruled if all you're hearing/seeing is them fighting...
