I was wondering if its ok to keep all female finches in my outside aviary
I did have a couple of pairs but I lost the males when I had a Sparrow Hawk terrorising them a few weeks ago. It couldn't get to them but I found them dead in the night box through fear I presume.

I think the problem is the sparrow hawk, not the sex of the finches. Several members deal with wildlife problems and predators with outside aviaries. Depending on your set up and weather, you can make adjustments to keep them safe. All hens or all cocksshould be fine, if the predator protections are in place.

A 1 sex aviary is fine I have mostly males, becaue I love all of the color and song

Thank you for your reply.
I wasn't saying that the sex of my finches was a problem, I was merely asking advise if I could just keep one sex finches, as I have been left with all females after the males died.
the Sparrow Hawk hasn't been back for a few months now.

So sorry you lost those finches. That is so sad and breaks my heart. I think one sex flight is fine, as long as they don't see the other sex close by, because that is what triggered some of my finches to fight, even though the potential mates were not in their flight. I guess having them around and singing etc, triggered a fighting instinct for their territory. Not sure,but since then, I've had one sex flight of multi species without problems; however, those males were breeders previously nd the other males were juveniles. I had an all hen flight once, mostly Society's and they were fine.

I keep my finches separated by gender until breeding season.

I have no any major problems with my two cocks. But yesterday I was keeping an eye on his behavior, cause they had some tiff. Batman did not allowed Balbino to be closer. He started with beak on him and he was chasing on Balbino. It was by 30 minutes or so, with some short breaks. So I think it could be not only other sex being close by. But usually and now they cuddle to each other, sleep together and they look for each other when flying, even they sometimes woo to each other...
There was no injuries but I do not why they had a such quarrel. Normally they live in harmony.

Even with same sex aviaries or cages, you can have the occasional spat between birds that normally are best buddies. As long as it doesn't escalate, there is nothing to worry about.
