That doesn't look like chickweed to me, as those leaf edges are somewhat serrated. Here are a couple photos of chickweed, with smoother leaf edges, also usually lots of the tiny white flowers. You probably have chickweed in the summer where you live. In Texas, it dies out from the heat (actually in spring), and then we get it back in late fall, early winter--it loves cool weather!
