growing up
My 5 zebra babies are fully fledged now. How soon will their beaks colour up? 4 are like the parents and 1 is paler. Are they English Zebras? I didn't know there was a difference. I tried to get a photo but they got spooked. They are so cute cuddled up on the same branch.
1 cat, 1 cockatiel, 3 canaries, 9 zebra finches, 1 kakariki

Congratulations! Those first fledglings, are always so special
.
After they fledge (which yours have done), they will be in the weaning stage. So parents are still feeding, but slowly starting to cut back, so that the toddlers will learn to feed themselves, and some will be slower than others.
Make sure you offer lots of spray millet and soft egg food (remember, they're still babies). Offer chopped greens and cucumber slices (all my babies enjoy them).
Soon you will see them becoming more Independent. They will practice their flying more, and try more new foods, and start developing their own little personalities.
Their beaks will start changing colours, and one day you will notice, that you have feathers literally everywhere. This means that babies are molting into adult colours, and before you know it, it will be difficult to tell them apart from their parents.
Enjoy your cuties.
