Hi!

I have a problem with my zebra finch pair. The female has been laying eggs continuously but neither in the pair are laying on them. I'm pretty sure they're not fertilized anyway ヾ(_ _*)

At the moment there are around 10 eggs in their nest and I think more are coming. I'm not sure whether I should chuck them out or let the couple do that themselves. Also, I haven't touched the eggs at all.

Thank you xx

If no one is incubating (ever), then personally, I would toss these eggs and remove the nest to give your girl a rest for a while.

I had to do that with handfulls of Societie eggs for a while ( which my girls were laying here tbere and everywhere) just to break this habit of laying an egg a day no matter whether they bred or not.

I would also make sure, that she bas enough calcium in her diet, so that she doesn't run into egg binding.

Thank you so much!

I had a pair before who were bright enough to kick out the eggs on their own. I'll take out the eggs as soon as possible!

Thanks again
