We bought two finches approx 6 months ago, both females and last night one laid an egg.
I feel foolish asking but I'm worried if both finches are female.
I will post a picture up of both birds in the hope someone can sex them for me.
Are they both females and if so what's the best procedure with disposing of the egg?
Both birds were pecking at it last night.

I don't know much about Zebras, but I checked www.efinch.com, where there are photos of various mutations of Zebra finch. The one on the left looks like a normal Grey hen, and the one on the right looks like a white hen. Hens can still lay eggs, even without any males present. I personally just toss any eggs laid, they won't be fertile anyway.

I'll let the zebra experts sex them for you but wanted to say you can simply toss any unwanted eggs.
If they are pecking at the eggs you may want to add hard boiled eggs to their diet a couple times a week. They may be looking for a nutrient found in eggs.

Not an expert, however. The dark one definitely is a female by the looks of things. With the white, it's a little more tricky, but from the beak colour, my guess would be female as well.

Thanks , they are getting regular finch mix of seeds. They have a cuttlefish bone in their cage. We let them out of the cage last night as per usual.
The white one looked agitated before we opened the cage.
They took a couple of flights around the room and sat on top of the cage as usual.
I looked across and was surprised to see the egg on the cage.
I started wondering whether either were actually male.
They are beautiful little birds
