My two birdies!

So Itchy and Beaky are now nesting! I've long given my two male Zebra finches their own nests, and material to build, but they seem to concentrate on pulling them apart - most of the time! Beaky is the older of the two, and he was very attached to my old canary, Kevin. He's been much happier since I got Itchy (after Kevin died).
I've heard male Zebras will sometime pair up. They're funny - like an old married couple. Usually they are inseparable when I let them out (they have separate cages - but they fly free every night). Sometimes however they get cross with eachother, and I hear Beaky making that cross little angry sound finches do!
Itchy is a very laidback bird and I can get about 10cm of my face and speak to him softly. Beaky's a bit more wary, but the two of them both let themselves out...and put themselves away - usually! Sometimes I have to use a net!
My Old star finch, Merl, I keep in a separate cage as he cannot fly and is relatively weak (I suspect the two would kill him). They do, however, love to talk to him, and spend a lot of time on his cage, twittering away. I love my birds!
