Reusing nests?

Hey guys!

I've got some nests that I've pulled out of my finches' cages and I find myself unsure what to do with them. They've only ever been used to house male finches (didn't realize going into this that they don't need them except to breed, although there have never been any territory issues due to the nests.) Would finches other than their current occupants use the nests if I removed the bedding and scraped out any feces? Namely zebra and society finches? I hate to throw 'em away...

Thanks!

What type of nests are they ?

Most nests, can be cleaned, washed , dried, and re-used.

I have washed these before.
I just used warm water, with a bit of dish soap , and an old tooth brush. Rinse well, and put in the sun to dry.

I used wicker nests as well, and I just soaked them in bleach water for a couple of hours before reusing them.

I also reuse wicker nest. I wash them out with warm soapy water using a soft brush, rinse, then spray with bleach lightly and put in sun to dry. I've never had any problems. I do the same thing with box nest also.
