Newbie question about gender

I have adopted an all white mutation zebra finch from our local shelter. He is solid white with no other markings. Beak is reddish. He doesn't sing. I am assuming he is male. Is it possible to have a male that doesn't sing ?

Males will sing.

With a pure white Zebra, it's difficult at times to tell the difference between males and females.

I adopted a pure white Zebra from a shelter a couple of years ago, and everyone asured me it was a male, untill 'he' started laying eggs, lol.

Interestingly he/she is from the Calgary SPCA.

My he/she came from the Calgary SPCA as well.

You should come to Feather Fest this coming Saturday (26th) at Cedarbrae Community Center, 11024 Oakfield Drive SW 10am-5pm. There will be loads of birds and bird stuff for sale, and lot's of bird people to chat with.

If you have a female and male one of the female beak will be similar colour to the feet whereas the male will be darker and a red

How come pure white zebras are always much bigger
