hi there!

I am new to the world of birds. I started with a couple of canary and senegal parrot but they require a lot of attention. For that I recently bought (20 days) a couple of zebra finch and intend to exchange my youyou (the male has escaped) with cockatiels.
the zebra female has laid her fifth egg today however I notice that the couple does not brood the eggs and after extinction of the lights they are both at the nest, is that normal? Thank you!!

I am not sure if I understand you correctly.

You have Canaries and Senegals, and recently bought a pair of Zebra Finches, which you want to trade for Cockatiels, but your male Zebra Finch has escaped???

Your Zebra female has laid eggs but only sits on them at night?

Is that correct?

Hi welcome and has it escaped properly like gone no where to be seen or just escaped the cage and now won’t sit on eggs
