My Easter surprise

Post by MariusStegmann » Mon Apr 02, 2018 5:42 am

Yesterday morning I found a new YH PB YB gouldian chick and later the afternoon, I found a 2nd chick. There is still one more egg, but it doesn't look like it will hatch.

All 3 gouldians hatched :D . Both parents are yellow head, purple breast, yellow back, so the chicks will also be. There is a gouldian cock in that aviary that just tossed his very healthy looking, well-fed week-old chicks and then proceeded to murder the bengalese chicks in the next-door nest. I just hope that the parents of these chicks look very well after their chicks.

MariusStegmann - Hi Marius, beautiful little ones! Do you have a picture of the parents?
Are you going to remove the murdering male? I, like you, would fear for the safety of these new hatchlings.

Why not remove the criminal from that aviary?
