I inherited a male and female zebra finch and let them have and hatch one clutch of five eggs.
Now the original mating pair are in their own flight cage and the fledglings ( almost 4 months old now ) are in another. The fledglings are 4 males and one female.
I am having trouble finding good homes for the newbies, and am considering the following. . .would like to get input.
Obviously the female fledgling amongst the males has to go before sexual maturation. I am considering transfering the dad in with the other male fledglings and the female fledgling in with mom.
My concern is I don't know how bonded zebra finches become to their mates.
Would doing this be cruel?
Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Zebra finch mixing question
n52nimbus it wouldn’t be as cruel as the lonely female being harassed by the three males so I think this is ur best shot
