When Misty first brought her pair to my aviary I was SHOCKED by their size. The are definately larger than gouldians. They look so big to me.

I guess you could have smaller sized gouldians but the gren I have seen have been smaller than goulds. The tail feathers are longer than the tapered gouldians but the gren's bodies are sleeker. If you google the species you will find many weights and measurements given ranging from the 5.25 to the 6 inch and weights I posted in the earlier post.sierranomad wrote:I find this discussion on their size interesting. I thought I saw them at the Bird Mart in Roseville, but was surprised by how small they were...what I saw was, I think, smaller than Lady Guoldians.
Maybe I was wrong in thinking they were gren's.

I have to catch a pair tomorrow so I will weigh my pair to see what their weights are compared to a Gouldian.
