Now I am hijacking  I hope your knee lasts for many many years to come Donna [-o< I know of too many people whom have had knee replacement and never got full usage again. :( Then again, I also know a few that have even gone back to skiing after knee replacement. :D I guess it all depends on the doctor and the physiotherapist. :? None the less best wishes.

Don't you know how to talk Minnesotian? [-X
Californians sometimes use the term too, at least northern Californians, don't know about southern, but some of their lingo is different. I wonder where else the term is used. Wonky gets used a lot more though.
Both can be used to refer to anything that's odd (in ways other than just physically) as well, especially if it's odd in a silly/humorous way.

I have a toucanet that messes up her feathers like that but worse, it will start out looking like that, but then eventually she really shreds them up bad. She over-preens her tail feathers, and I suspect she's also playing with them. Her thinking my male toucanet's tail feathers were a toy definitely didn't make him happy.
Fortunately she hasn't been messing up her tail feathers so much lately.

Donna, My mother just had a knee replacement and feels MUCH better -- she was very faithful with her physical therapy. She is looking to have the other one done. (Just a positive note!)

Sorry to Hijack! (Bad Hijacker! Bad!!) There, I got on myself.

Thanks! I am such a wimp that I will probably not be able to walk at all before I commit to this surgery. I hear it is the absolute most painful surgery ever! (and after all who would take care of my birds)?

it's really a LOL... maybe its his expression coupled with the fashionised tail. He do look healthy.

Somehow, do you prefer it this way if it doesnt affect its health?

I don't mind if his tail looks like that as long as he is healthy and he does seem so. I guess it is more important that Mrs. Owl doesn't mind.
