Hard to say with Green Singers as typically the hen does all the incubating and work. I think this is a wait and see situation. I work he takes over for you. Please keep us posted and good luck! =D>

And Welcome to the Finch Forum too.

My green singer pair, the dad fed the chicks frequently, but in the beginning he fed the mom and she fed the chicks. You may need to hand feed if they are newborns. Also, I don't know if the male will sit on them and keep them warm. He was great at feeding once they were older, like a few weeks. So sorry you lost the hen. I hope the hatchlings make it.

A male can do all the feedings, but he wont brood the chicks. I had a case when my male almost kill a female when the chicks were about a week old. I kept the chicks in a brooder and every hour or two put them in the cage with the male and he fed them right away and then I put them back in the brooder. I even recorded youtube video.
Good luck to you.
