One of my Zebra finches passed away also, sittin on her nest just dead.
I took everyone and put scatt on them just incase, I scrubbed and disinfected all the cages and I have another male now not eating ...

The breeder says its my cats, well my cats NEVER go in my bird room so its not them scaring them,
And this Zebra was one I hatched 4 yrs ago, im so blown away and bummed

Given the age of the Zebra han she may have gotten egg bound, and died trying to pass the egg. If she showed no symptoms like the male gould it may just be a bad coincidence.

I have a little Silky Terrior and a Huge Lab/Boxer, Rotweiller mix and the birds don't seem to mind either of them when they go sniffen around the bird room. So I doubt it was your cat that scared the bird to death.

At this point keep on eye on everyones droppings. If you see more birds with runny or otherwise odd droppings let me know with the best descirption you can. A photo would be even more helpful. For now I think you just had a Gould that got stressed and in an untimely and unrealted event you lost the Zebra hen. The only way to be certain though is to keep a close eye on the birds droppings and behavior. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help more.

Thank You for the help, I dont think she was egg boubd she had been sitting on 5 INFERTILE eggs for 2 weeks so she wasnt laying. I let her keep her silly eggs so she would be happy,.

The other male seems ok for now.
