Ronivet is pretty safe....I would remove him and place him in a separate cage with a little heat. You need to continue with the ronivet treatment....it could be viral, it could be stress. The heat should help, I beleive the treatment is to last days, then 4 on probiotics. If the breeder you got your birds never treated/did preventive then it could be questionable. How are the other birds doing, you wrote me and said the others look really much better, no more open beak and are active?

Rancel -- Firefinches hate that stuff -- s/he is probably dehydrated from not drinking the medicated water -- hence the eye closing.

A suggestion: let the ff have access to normal water for a day or so then put it back on the treatment -- but keep an eye on it -- it will probably do the same thing again.

Another suggestion: give it some cucumber -- cucumbers are basically another source of water without being water so it should help hydrate the little ff and you don't have to change the water if you already medicated it. :)
