cute little society fledgling!

Post by Oshtay » Sat Mar 10, 2012 9:50 am

I took this a few weeks ago when my first clutch of societies fledged. I was banding them as they fledged, and this little girl was extra cute!

Thank you all! It was a sad day when I had to deliver them to their new home yesterday. But they have a great owner and will be well cared for....I almost came home with diamond doves! I'm not ready yet....but they sure were cute!

Very cute baby. It is always hard to let go of the finches we raised, but if they go to a good home, it makes it easier. I have a pair of wild Diamond Doves with a nest in our front yard tree. They're always cooing.

Awe they are so cute when they are that age! And so tame and trusting compared to any other finch I own. I love them!!! :)

Have you considered taking away an egg or two and handfeeding? I found a mourning dove nest when I was around 11, but before I could "save" it a squirrel ate the eggs

I just love the little white 'eyebrows' on her. I'm glad she has a good home!
