Hanging Poop

One of my young Gouldians has had poop hanging from him for 2 days. Should I try to catch him & soak his bottom? Do birds get constipated?

I would catch him, clean him up to make sure the poop does not prevent him from going to the bathroom.

Thanks Debbie; I just did that. Didn't have any mineral oil, so I put some cod liver oil in warm water; caught him with a net in the flight & sponged him off. I hate catching a bird more than anything 'cause it scares them so. I gave everybody a new millet spray after I was done with him to alleviate my guilt.
Why would he have stuck poop anyway??

Sometimes its because they're not feelng well, but not always. Keep an eye on him and watch for the poop to have a different color then normal, otherwise he should be fine.
