Gouldians: BH PB BB + BH WB NB = BH WB BB?

Just making sure I'm getting this genetics thing correct.
The cock is the BB. The hen is NB, but split to blue.
If I breed this pair, I should get some BH PB (split to white breast) BB?
Then if I breed one of the sons back to the hen I could get: BH WB, BB?
Will all the chicks be split to white breast? If not, I won't know which son, if any, is split for white breast. Correct?

12.5% Male >> Black (Head) - White (Chest) - Green / Blue (Body)
12.5% Male >> Black (Head) - Purple / White (Chest) - Blue (Body)
12.5% Male >> Black (Head) - Purple / White (Chest) - Green / Blue (Body)

Are you referring to the son/mother breeding or the first breeding?

You'll only get white breast if the cock is split to white - otherwise all with be purple split to white.

Why are you planning to breed son back to mom? In my opinion not a great idea - much better to find an unrelated mate for him. You'll get stronger birds as a result.

If I breed a split to white breast son to mom, then I would get a few white breasted, blue blacked chicks.

I'm in the process of asking the breeder using the NFSS band if he is split to white breast. It would a lot easier if he is!

Hmmm, the breeder purchased this cock to expand his gene pool, but he was never bred and he doesn't know any information on him. He is currently helping the hen incubate, so maybe I'll find out soon enough if he is split to white breast.
