My goldbreast and weaver

Post by EmilyHurd » Tue Jun 03, 2008 2:47 am

So I just wanted to show everyone my two new finches. They are both males (since I've decided to start an all male aviary - I'm tired of breeding! I just want to enjoy their colors!)

Emily...your birds a beautiful!! What nice coloring they have. How neat to catch the white bird in flight....cool!

The very first picture gave me a laugh because I noticed the little birdie head peeking up over the perch under the Goldbreast....so funny! :D

Pretty birds! How does the weaver get along with the others? I had one but had to rehome it because it was too agressive with the others. I love the goldbreasted. They are just the sweetest little birds.

Beautiful birds, Emily! You'll love the Goldbreast. I've never had Weavers, so please keep us posted on how he does.

Well because it is an all male avairy, so far the weaver has done pretty well. He hasn't bothered anyone. The only finch that bothers others is my black cheek male zebra, and he doesn't even have a female zebra that he is defending! The lady I got the weaver from said that he only goes out of color for about two months and that she hasn't seen him be agressive. So we'll see.

I've heard that the weaver nests are pretty amazing though!
