beautiful birds there Emily, they must be used to the camera as they dont seem at all bothered by it

What a beautiful collection, such lovely colours. I only have societies and zebras, what are the other finches you have there? The red one is gorgeous.

What's the one with red stripe on it's cheek, it looks like a cross between a Java and something else

There are two with a red stripe. One is a rosy rump waxbill and the other (with orange) is a goldbreast.

I used to have thirty, but when I moved to an apartment I had to get rid of my huge aviary, so now I'm down to about 11 or so. I now keep an all male aviary. I got tired to breeding them for now and am letting them enjoy single life! Plus males sing and don't go through egg binding. They usually have less problems altogether.


I also don't have as much time. I have a five year old, a baby boy on the way, two chihuahuas, self employment, and full time student in Denver. So I stay busy.
