You'll be passing by me on your way to her, I can breed you some Societies, or zebras, or maybe try the Spices, I need an excuse to breed my Societies, can't find anyone I know who wants some (except for the family who goes away every weekend and several times a year for a full week or more, don't know what they think they'd do with the birds; plus one of the three kids is highly questionable in behavior and the one who wants the birds is only 3rd grade; oh yeah, and my friend who has gassed to death her entire cage of 8 birds at least three times that I know of-bug spray, oven cleaner....).

My finchaholism is pushing out of control. I need to breed more finches. I need to breed more finches. I got mophead, I got marked, I got CFW and Fawn and pied and chocolate and oh so many genes just begging to be recombined and expressed.

HELP!!!!! Former genetics biologist and finchaholic out of control!!!
And I saw a cage like that on craigslist for $50 somewhere near me....HELP!!!

Okay, not near me. New Paltz, NY, near Poughkeepsie, if anyone's interested. Look on Craigslist for Hudson Valley, NY. And it's not the same cage, but it is a big one.

I like the thought of you breeding me some societies BUT DONT DO IT YET!!

It's gonna take me some time to get this cage up and running, I went and looked at it again today -) In order for me to layer it, I might have to get creative. So, I may move all my zebbies into the new one, and use one of the Petco cages for the societies and or CBs. But I am going to TAKE IT SLOW and do it right. So don't go breeding yet LOL!! What town are you in, I want to google map the route I would take, maybe you and Ginene and I could all meet up at your place????? (is it closer to me then Ginene in SI?)

Look due south of you to where I-84 crosses into CT at Brewster-Danbury, and I am right near there.

Boston is way out of the way. Three+ hours northeast.

But draw a line down from you to NYC and I'm not far off it.

There's a bigger, better one in Meriden, CT, an A&E Double Flight, like I already have for my budgies, for $150. But Meriden is an hour away up the highway, so to make it worthwhile they'd have to drop the price a bit more. AND, we'd have to build a new, custom stand for both double flights so we could stack them, to make them fit in this little house.

I need a bigger house. Not enough room for the birds.

Jennie, We just drove 3 hours (6 total) to PA to pick up birds from Teresa. I think I could get Big and Little to take a trip to Boston easy. The hard part would be getting them to only stay for 1 night.

No, that is almost three hours from me, is he on Ancestry.com? j I did mine last year and got some great information and went back to the early 1700's

I am not sure if I could do a SI NYC day trip, so I most likely would be wanting to meet at a half way mark. Is it possible for you to make a Boston trip? Someday I will be coming to NYC area for a visit, I love that city! But not in the near future. Maybe if Ginene and I ever do make it to Boston, you could send birds with her to give me LOL I was thinking of looking into bird shows in the Boston area and planning the trip around it!
