I think I may have sent it in a text??? Or in a different thread??? I'm having a blonde black-out at the moment  ...I use manzanita perches (smooth and sandblasted), rope, pedi, and grapevine. I usually add a corner shelf or 2...They love them. I get them on amazon.com usually. But I LOVE the natural looking perch you have in with Lucy and Woodstock. Gorgeous!!! I think I will be cutting limbs off of my pear trees for my new birds. Perches cost a FORTUNE!!! Also, Ruth is bringing me branches from her property when she picks up her cages. I'm excited about that :) .

Oh, that is cool. Do you want some willow twigs?

Sarah gave me those natural perches. They are so cool, the move like real branches which I read supports the muscles in their legs and feet.

I baked some branches at one point, they aren't very flexible though.

When is Nerien coming? LUCCCCKKKKKYYYY you get to meet everyone. Lisa Dante and now Nerien I am jealous

Lol! I am lucky. We are going to meet Ruth at a halfway point...the bi-level is way too tall to ship. I will get to meet Martie too at the October mart. I also met Teresa. We are nutty long distance drivers, so it works out that way. Did you get the cage together? Did it hold up ok during shipping?

chirpy@chirpy Thanks! He/She is a character! Came home today and fed them some eggfood, went back and peaked He was chowing on the eggfood! He flew away when I walked up and had tons of egg all over his beak! By the time I grabbed my iphone for a pic, most was gone, but some was still there! He is so cute!

Still not clear yet... the tear is wide looks like a split to BC

maybe in another week you may be able to tell better.

That is too adorable! I love his "egg food face" :D I can never get a candid photo of that happening.

I would definitely say split to CFW is a possibility  though I think Lucy would need to be BC for little Woodstock to be a BC split.

Some of my Yellow Beak NG males who are CFW splits appear totally normal as well. BUT when they seduce a little CFW hen, bam! CFW babies who are brighter than Christmas. ;)

cindy I can get a clearer pic, this was zoomed in so much to show the egg on face, it got blurry :) hold on a minute

@TheWhiteFinchAviary Charlie and Lucy's first clutch has 1 normal grey male, own normal grey female and a beautiful CFW male

I don't know what 'split to CFW' means.

CFW is sex liked since mom is visual and not mated with a split to CFW (male carrying the gene but not showing it visually as a full CFW would) or a visual CFW male...mom will only give males that are split to the mutation. The baby will look gray with white wing edges which is a marker for split to CFW (can also be a marker for lightback also)

The baby is so cute....I know if it is male or female you will still love it since it came from Woodstock!
