And you never know, someone else may have an issue with an injured bird and you could share your story on what you did and how your bird adapted. Like I said they are very resilient creatures and I am reminded every day when my little one eyed crooked beak baby sings his little heart out and lives a happy life! He is quite the character!!I should add that under extraordinary circumstances such as the one you are mentioning...I would be between a rock and a hard place but ultimately I would still choose to let them survive on their own.....thankfully I have never been in that position yet and if I was in that position I can bet I would be in a different mindsetfhgwgads wrote: I generally do not believe in euthanasia but I once had a parakeet who was very sick with a large cancerous tumor and was in a lot of pain and clearly suffering. I absolutely agree but I don't think anyone is attacking or criticizing anyone, we are all individual people with individual opinions and we each have certain opinions we are passionate about and will inevitably come on stronger than maybe intended....overall this site is filled with very understanding and kind members and I would hope no one would ever get offended because at the end of the day it is up to each person to decide what they think is best right?fhgwgads wrote: I also just want to mention everyone is entitled to their own opinion. We can become overcome in such a situation which is why I feel it's good to have this online community to turn to for advice. I think that many of us if not all of us are very understanding and would never hold something against another person. We are all here to offer advice to each other, learn from each other, share stories, etc. I just do not want anyone feeling criticized, or attacked. We all have our advice from our hearts and fortunately the situation turned out well.
