Still...people who join the military go in knowing that there is a chance they will have to go off to war...that's very admirable and brave! My Dad (Army) and both Grandfathers (OSS & Army) went to war while in the military. I am very proud of them all :)

I know it has been such a rough road and I am so glad you are still with us and that you will once again have little sweet birds in your home!!! Definitely post tons of pictures.. I know you will!! And remember we are always here for you!! I am hoping for the best and that everything goes smoothly until you have all your birds settled!!! You more than deserve it, my dear!!

well its a tradition with my family...

Me... Army 11H Airborne Infantry TOW gunner
Dad... Marines... Vietnam Aircraft Ordinanceman
Mom... Air National Guard Heavy Equipment Operator
Cousin... Navy peacetime
Aunt... Army... stationed Germany Peacetime
Uncle... Army Reserve...
Grandfather... Navy... Pearl Harbor Survivor
Grandfather... Army... Korea
All other males Army... Peacetime

It's like an understood right of passage in our family... all males go into the military if for nothing else 2-4 years to get college money... every member of the family of my generation male and female has served... my middle daughter already wants to serve...

now back to your thread topic... hope this round of birdies goes well ;) I look forward to posts of surprise clutches...

Thanks ladies! The singer pair is settling in well. During dinner time, Lenny bursted out in song and the 3 of us stopped eating, looked up at each other and all smiled! Wow!!! It was awesome!!!
Deb...I was shocked when Chelsea contacted me about gifting us a pair Of her beautiful birds...what an amazing, young woman she is. So thoughtful and generous of her.

So happy. Still just sitting here shaking my head and amazed at how there is beauty from the past tragedy. Yes, life IS good
