Hello
So today marks the fourth day Link and Zelda came home. They are still fairly shy and seem to be the most active at 830 at night. No go on veggies or fruit yet, but I will keep trying. They are eating their seeds and enjoying their water.

That sounds awesome! This is my first post and I am just getting used to this site. I have to set up my profile but just wanted to post and say congrats!...I have 3 societies and 2 zebras which are quite loud. They seem to all get along but the zebras are definately a little more pushy than the others. 4 are male and the only female is a society...anyways, good luck with your new finchies!

Poor little society girl, being chased by those boys....lol.
Welcome magick, hope you enjoy this forum. I know I do.
And Aerithny, glad to hear that cb's are starting to settle down. The veggies and hard boiled egg will come in time, just stick with it. Maybe a big juicy green leaf of romain placed higher in the cage?

Congrats on the cordon's settling down. Give them some time to adapt and feel their new place is home! They probably won't try new foods yet, but some are finicky about anything but fresh veggies
magick-Welcome to the forum! There's great info to your left of the page at the Finch Info Center and most members are very willing to answer questions. Also, if you put your city in your profile, others can better address questions that are location specific.

They look beautifull! One suggestion, they may be skittish because they are in an open area. I'd move the cage up next to the wall (on one side) and give them a little more greenery or put them up higher. They feel more secure if up on top of a higher shelf/furniture etc.
