My Baby Stars...

Post by lovezebs » Sat Sep 13, 2014 6:43 pm

Hello Finch Folk.
My three new baby Yellow Stars are eating like little hogs. Is that normal? They seem to eat non stop. Today they got into the fruit/ veggie tray and it was like they had never seen fruit and vegetables before. They stuffed their little faces, then crawled into a wicker nest, and were trying to beg for food from the others. Little pigletts, but oh so cute.

They're acting like 'piggies', is what they're acting like. Holy crow, what an appetite! I wonder where they put it all in those little bodies. You can't even say that they have hollow legs, because they're legs are thinner than toothpicks.

They're growing and need their nourishment! :P Let them eat all they want for now. It's great they're trying fruit etc.

Of course they can eat as much as they want. I'm just surprised at the huge appetites in such tiny babies. But then again, they are pretty skinny. They were trying everything, and I don't mean just sampling politely. LOL!!!

They sound as adorable as they look. I miss having YF Stars. I loved the babies and juvies coloring.

You know it's strange, but as I mentioned somewhere, the Reds never appealed to me when I saw them. But these little peachy faced babies just stole my heart. And the personalities so far are absolutely sweet.

I totally agree. I've never been very fond of the RF Stars, but love the YF.

That's great that they're starting to eat! Especially when they do lots of it. No fear of them anyway

I am thinking that they're going to eat me out of house and home at this rate.... Oh, I really don't mind, let them eat and grow. It's actually a pleasure to watch them discover every new thing and then all three are on it. It's like: Come here guys, you gotta try this, it's sooo good, yum-yum-yum!!! Their little inquisitive faces just brighten up. Really enjoyable to watch.

The new kids have new names.
Finally came up with some names, so that they don't have to be known as 'the three new stars' anymore.

- I decided on Skyler, for my little boy
- Susie and Sunny, for my two tiny girls

Now I just have to figure out whose who. LOL

Hello All.
Heared Skyker, singing today for the very first time. At first I thought it was one of my Gouldian boys, but ut was him. He was sitting very proudly on the edge if the comnunal bath and singing in the sunshine. I never realized that the Star song is so similar to the Gouldian's.

These three sweeties are a joy to have around. I never knew they had such lovely personalities.
