MY TAMING ADVENTURES WITH PHINEAS AND FERB

Post by delray » Fri Sep 26, 2014 4:10 pm

Hey guys. I am going to upload a picture when I get home later. Well this is my attempt of taming Phineas and Ferb. I have and going to continue to use MiaCarter 's taming method. And let me tell you. IT IS WORKING. Whenever I come over to the cage, usually they fly up onto the bars to say hi.( usually Phineas :D ) the next few steps include putting my hand in the cage, maybe with some millet bribes to land on me lol. ;)

This thread will include my adventures of taming them. I am very excited.

Tips are always appreciated here.

Horray!
That's great news!
I can't wait to hear how it goes!

For anyone who's interested, I wrote about my process here:

Societies are usually pretty easy in terms of taming, as they're super easy going and social by nature so I bet they're going to come around pretty quickly.

Can't wait to see photos!

Wow Brian.
That is exciting. If it works for you, I will definitely give it a try at some point. Right now my Socies are super busy feeding the pigletts, so they don't have time.

I think my Gouldi's wouldn't be difficult to train . They are incredibly friendly already and so curious and sweet. I have had both Gouldians and Stars actually land on my hand and head :-) when I stick my hands and head in the flight.:-D

lovezebs that's a great start that they already do that! My goal is that when I stick my hand in the cage, I want them to land on me. I don't have a bird room ATM but occasionally maybe I would take them to a smaller room and let them roam for a while.

You should definitely give it a try!! It should be fun. I'm gonna keep everyone posted on how it goes. The only problem is consistency. I have to make sure I try often, otherwise they will lose some of their tame selves. We shall see!
