My Baby Stars...

Hello Everyone.

Have had to move little Sunny out if the regular flight and put her in with my little Wax bills.

I have noticed for a few days that Suzie was constantly chasing Sunny around. At first it was only when Sunny would get close to Skyler. Then it became more and more, up to the point, where Suzie wasn't allowing Sunny to eat and drink, or perch anywhere.

Today I had enough. Sunny wasn't even allowed to partake in the meal worm massacre. She sat on a top perch looking longingly down at the feast, and every time she tried to join in, she was chased away.

So I put her in with the little guys. She hasnt stopped eating since she moved.

Poor Sunny. Yeah, you definitely did the right thing by separating her from the other two. It's good that you are so aware of them and were able to observe their behavior. Sounds like you need another male star. It would only be fair, and a perfectly justifiable excuse to bring home another bird.

Yes, I do need another YH Star boy. They are kinda hard to cone by around here, although my pet shop dies occasionally have some. Prices tend to be through the roof though. Sunny will just have to wait for a bit.

Oh, and guess what? Saw Skyler and Suzie being naughty several times today. Thought they were too young for that.

Lol!!! I am having that issue with my brother & sister societies (8 months old now). Thankfully SHE is not interested in HIS puffy dance. She is promised to my Chocolate Crested/Frilled male anyway... ;)

Lol, lovezebs!!! Sadly its up to his mom and dad, otherwise I would have shipped him in 2 unrelated hens from Texas ;) . We have spoken about me possibly giving him some eggs to foster in the future, but his mom will have to be on board too. But no worries...I see many finch...and many species of finch in his future

Same craziness here......my young male society, Mr. Beans, now 2 1/2 months old, is now singing his little heart out and doing his puffy dance to his own mother. I'm gonna have to find a new cage and mate for that boy.

Oy vey! Caligula and Nero, would have loved this. I don't know why all of a sudden, out of the blue everybody has decided to breed like rabbits. All these youngsters are completely out of control. I'd thought that they have to be sexually mature to want to engage in these activities (?)

My Star 'babies' are checking out real estate for heaven's sake.

Well my Friends.

Skyler is as proud as punch. Suzie has arranged a wicker nest
basket to her liking, and is now gone in, wiggling her little bum and trying it out. Could it be???

Skyler is singing up a storm and chasing everyone away from his tiny lady love (even Luciano my Canary boy). He is so full of himself, that he grew a couple of more orange feathers on his face. If he could, he'd be doing a happy dance and shouting to the heavens: Whose the man? Whose the man? I'M THE MAN!!!
