I walked out of the bird show yesterday without getting the pair of black crowned waxbills I've been wanting for the longest time.

Yes, there were three pair, which is why I cannot believe I walked away without some.

Jan will be bringing them to the mart/show at Temple Nov. 1. I'm wondering if we could work out a way to have someone from Houston pick up a pair for you and meet you somewhere? She had donated a pair to the club auction, and I was so lucky, not many were bidding on them, so I got the pair for $80!

Oh, I wish I knew they were in the auction. I would have bid. Yes, I think I may have them picked up and meet someone, that would be great! That is the third time I have had the opportunity to get a pair and passed them up.

I seriously have to leave my debit cards and credit cards at home when I go to these events and take my spending money in cash to keep myself from going nuts! (Or just bring the husband along. LOL)

Last year i did that at a mart with English budgies. . I did it again this passed mart but i ended up with 11 other birds!

I am thinking, that you must have been very sick that day. I know personally, that I would have to be half dead on my sick bed to walk out of a bird show, without the Finches I had my heart set on.

That would be another option, and you could then pick out the pair you want. I believe she had two pairs left.
