Oh my......
I like the bottom picture better. Mom looks like she has a little smile, very proud of her three big and beautiful kids.

Congratulations Mama and Grandmama. :-D

KarenB...Simply Adorable!!! Congrats on your gorgeous babies!!! I am SOOO tempted to breed my Owls. I have a fawn hen and a normal male. It would be so cool if the male was split to fawn, but I never asked the breeder if he was. I guess breeding them would help me find out for sure ;)

I was thinking that of the three babies, the one on the far left is maybe a female, because look at the striking difference in "her" bars as compared to the other two which are really thick and dark, even compared to Mom. I don't know what fawn babies look like, but that one on the left also looks lighter in color from the others to me.

Their first two babies both looked like the one on the far right nearest to Annie, so I'm wondering if they were both males.

Oh, that's so sad. Are you going to let them try again?

KarenB What darling photos. Annie sure did a great job feeding. Clearly you also did a great job with lots of good food.

Cutie pies! Fawn babies will not only be a light fawn color, but their beaks are tan instead of black. I could always tell which babies were fawn before they even had feathers by that beak.
