Rox Stars - all grown up

Post by monotwine » Mon Nov 03, 2014 9:08 am

Rox kindly gave me the hen last season and she is now a fully fledged woman - and waiting for her mate to grow up. LOL sounds like most ladies relationships  (sorry to the men out there for any generalizing).Hoping they will settle down and breed this season.

Truly a beautiful Star finch, with a great-looking mate. They should produce gorgeous babies!

Thanks all. This is the first time I've had a pair of Star's so hope they do decide to breed in my aviary.

You know I look at some of the cage indoor birds on this forum and I think, Wow they all look so healthy! :D Not a feather out of place.
Outdoor living has its ups and downs. Today it is miserably cold and for a few days before was terribly windy. Then all I get is puff balls looking as miserable as the weather.
However on good sunny calm days, YES the outdoors is a super place for birds. They love sunning themselves and have plenty free flight to stretch their wings.
