I leave this girl's preening to Sebell, and he seems to do a good job of it. He is very protective of his lady love.

However, she mowes right over him, when she sees the phone, tee hee hee.

How is our Hammy girl doing by the way?

This one gives me the . so jelly for my FIRST Gouldian. Just hope for one with PERSONALITY. I am almost out of the egg bread recipe I made. Have you shared your recipe before? Why do you two bird rock stars have to be so far away?

My egg food recipe, is loved by all the kids, from the tiniest waxbill to the Canaries and Budgies.
I don't make egg bread.

As to the Gouldians, I find that most of them do have a sweet personality. Some are more shy than others, but most are curious, and if you spend time around them, they will come around and check you out. They love to watch what you do, and enjoy it when you talk to them, turning their heads from side to side at the sound of your voice (really cute).

If you were closer, I'm pretty sure we could find a pretty pair of kids for you....

We are going to look today at a house I really want. It's ore than hubby wants to spend but it's everything I could ever ask for. And comparatively speaking it's not a bloody fortune. We could pay for it in 7 years realistically. The idea was to pay cash for something. but it's a cape cod with hardwood floors....gorgeous kitchen and bathrooms...on and on.

I'm standing in front of mine a lot and I have noticed they have calmed down lots enough that they'll stay on a perch close to the bars at the front but as soon as I bring my phone/camera up they bolt! Lots more training to go yet hehe

Your kids will come around.
Sit beside the cages, talk to them, hold your phone at a distance that doesn't freak them out. Once they're comfortable with a certain distance, bring it a bit closer.

Seeing as they are new to you, it's understandable that they are nervous. All I an say is : Patience and time.

The house we looked at today was a dump. Pictures online were very deceiving. No deal. We are going to rent a house in the country for awhile. I will take some pictures tomorrow when we go out there.

I'm really hoping another change doesn't do Blue in. He's not so hot again. Nellie is back with him, seems to perk him up a bit. It sure got Romeo excited he is alone with stuck up Sadie who won't even look at him! He is non stop crooning a love song too. My bets are on him, he will win her over.
