Gouldian finch worried
My tame Gouldian has recently developed dark spots, like a "hole" in his feathers, one slightly below each eye. Very small but what could be wrong?? He is about 1.5 yrs. old. He was hand-raised and is in a cage in my bedroom. I have 2 Zebra finches in another room.
It is very worrisome. Does anyone know what this could be ? Is it a vitamin deficiency?
Any advice would be appreciated!

Could you post photos of your guys? That would help to identify issues. Best of luck.

Re: Gouldian finch worried
Jen,
I took pictures on my IPhone, but I don't know how to send one!
I'm going to try--I know how to email a photo, but not how to send one to a website, especially to connect it to this post.
I raised this little bird by hand, and he is such a treasure. Don't want to take him to the vet, because it would probably traumatize him.
Thank you for any advice~

Is there a chance your bird is molting and you are seeing his ears?

oomiedog He is probably molting , their ears are located where you would think their cheeks are , you probably saw his ear , when I saw that on my zebra finch I got worried too , I don't think its a biggie anyways best if you post a picture.
edit: I just saw that you found an answer
huh.
Anyways the way I post pictures is on some kind of photo upload site , then you get the [ img ] link [ / img ] and copy paste it in chat .
The site I use is either imageshack or photobucket .
I don't know how to use the forums feature to add an image , if I knew I would tell you :/
Also try to post a picture to be 100 percent sure , the black spots probably are the ears but just to be safe send a photo.
