I picked up the new inhabitants for my enclosure on Sat. At the guidance of the breeder, picked out a bunch of different species that should all get on well together, all males. So far so good, no bullying or anyone being left out everyone eating and drinking/bathing. They had a good fly out of the enclosure today while I shifted stuff round a bit, several being quite friendly and letting me catch them by hand without a fuss. The Owl is hilarious and wants to spend pretty much all his time eating and 'meowing' like a cat. The Parrot sings like a fan belt slipping. The firefinch is crazy and bounding around all over the place. The Twinspot has the nicest song which is quite complex. All around they seem a lovely bunch of characters that I can't stop watching!
And yes they are the 'Sons of Aviary' and are all named after characters from the show.
