We have six zebra finches in our apartment in Canada.
My boyfriend is going to see his family for the holidays and I will be staying with my parents in the meantime in the same city (instead of being alone in the apartment). We have a dilemma on what do do with our finches. Either A) I leave them in the apartment alone and check on them daily or B) I take them with me. My boyfriend thinks I should leave them in the apartment since he thinks it will scare them to be moved and it's too cold outside. I think it's better to bring them with me in case something happens... It is cold here.. The temperature has varied from -3 to -27 degrees Celsius. We would take them via car and covered so they will have to be outside for just a minute or two. He's worried that they might die or get too stressed out during the move but on the other hand, I'm worried about leaving them alone almost all the time for two weeks.
Please let me know your professional opinions! It would be so helpful!
Thanks
