So the color will change when he's older? Because I expect to see grey, not buff. I don't know what CFW stands for, is that a color variation?

This is what I expect to see - ish. I know he's just fledged but would expect him to look more like this:

More grey and little or no buff.

Trudy 2/24/18

Turn towards home, and go there. Many overs, over woods and fields, streams and hills, many overs. Just turn towards home. How else would one go there? Perhaps it was a dream, and you have awakened from it. May the earth rise up beneath you, with home in your heart, and your person waiting.

haroun and Sojourner

We'll have to wait and see what colour he will be, once he's fully molted.

Ha ha wow. Sorry it's been quite busy. A family member had surgery and is recovering. This Tuesday morning I'm taking my dog to have her surgery and work has been crazy. I'll try to take some new pictures soon though he basically looks the same as last with a few more barred feathers. (It's past midnight now, they're sleeping and another long day tomorrow)

He's doing really good eating/drink on his own.. Iv checked and seen he is filling himself up. He still begs when I'm around but I can give him whatever millet etc. and he'll eat. Sometimes I make food just to make sure he is getting enough in his diet.

There is the one society finch that is mostly a brown color pattern but the society never really seemed to interact with the zebras much and never went near the chick when they were nesting with it. So I really think it is the light colored female and normal looking male you can kinda see in my avatar. I often work long hours though so allot could happen I guess. I'm not even sure if the society is male or female. :|

Thanks.

He's very independent now, harder to get pictures. Eating and everything well on his own.

So glad he survived, to mature and grow up, becoming a handsome little fella. Did you trim his beak a little bit?

Oh my gosh, I just love fledglings, they always look like they just rolled out of the nest! It's been so nice seeing the growth progress on this little cutie.

As for him being CFW, he looks like he has some pied markings on his head as well. I guess we'll find out.

Has he started to sing/babble yet?
