Are these seeds okay ?
I regularly put my finches outside and I keep seeing them pulling these plants and I thought they where just playing but I noticed after they pulled them into the cage they are actually eating the seeds so I took some and when I put them near the cage they run up like it's millet seed they love them first of all are these fine and second of all what are they called I've added a picture below

They look like some sort of a grass seed head, not sure which.
I pick wild grass seeds and seed heads for my birds and they enjoy them.
Just watch that they haven't been sprayed with something' or from too near to a road where they get car fumes on them.

They are from my garden in between my plants so they only get water happy these are fine thanks lovezebs

if your garden is visited by wild birds, other animals I would avoid giving the birds items from outside to avoid pathogens being passed.
You can plant in organic clean soil some fresh bird seed even a strand of millet...they will grow into grasses and millet for your birds... they love green seed. put your growing pots of seed in an area where the wild birds and critters can not get to them.

Wild birds are everywhere, so any grasses collected outside will be visited by them. I, along with many others, collect grass seeds from outside and give to my birds. They love the green stage of grass seeds. As long as the area has not been sprayed with pesticides, it should be fine. Also, you don't want to collect grass seeds from near a roadway, the emissions from cars are not good.

Yeh they are fine u do have wild birds but these don't eat them
