Stuart whiting
I do get the gist of the conversation Stuart.
All I am saying, is that apparantly in the wild Gouldians, Zebras, and Munias , have been seen to consume insects, etc. when breeding and raising young...
So why not offer them the same opportunity in captivity?
We as humans decide that they DON'T NEED IT, because they can be raised without it. That's why I was saying, who are we to judge?
Some breeders, raise their birds on seed alone, and still manage to breed them and produce young ( albeit probably not very healthy young).
What I am saying, is that we should offer them a variety of foods (live foods included) and every opportunity to enjoy life, not just exist.
And by the way, I wasn't born yesterday either, and have been keeping birds for 40+ years, and have been known to do my fair share of reading as well
