Source for button quail

Post by kcfd55 » Wed Dec 20, 2017 3:37 pm

I don't know why I didn't see this section before...

Does anyone have a good source for button quail? I would rather get the birds than the eggs.

Thanks,

Mike

You could try a local pet shop.

kcfd55 If there are any bird marts in your area, those often will have some vendor with button quail. Or if you have a local bird club, that is usually a good source for information on what is available locally.
3 Purple Grenadiers, 1 Goldbreast + 1 cat.

Apparently not around here. When I ask about them, I get a lot of blank stares and a suggestion that I try a poultry store

Thanks,

Mike

There are no bird marts or clubs around here. There is a bird mart in Pomona, I think, sometime this Spring.

I also may have a source in San Diego (thanks, Iso!), if I can get away to drive down there.

On the positive side of this, if and when I manage to get some quail, I might be able to sell or trade the surplus of quail in the coming years. Button quail are worse than Zebras for reproducing :D .

Thanks,

Mike
