yes they're grey , the first pic confused me!
Flight Feathers wrote: They’ve started leaving the nest now! There’s 4 normals and 1 cfw hen. The normals show signs of ob in the wings and tail bars although they have black tear marks. Is there such thing as an ob that has a black tear mark ??
yes if the tear mark is thin , with other mark that u named then they could be split for Orange b or could be faulty OB (Faulty tear mark witch is nothing if u're not interested in exhibition)
Okay that’s good to know. I hope they are still part orange breasted. And if they’re not orange breasted then they’re ob and B.B. split as both parents are split for one or the other as both have thin tear marks

Yes lots of orange and white lacing in the wings. Also looks like some orange in the tail bars on some chicks
that's very good news , could be not split for ob but definitely ob, bbob or OB/BB

Let us see in 3-weeks, guve you a real case two offspring hens are split for BB the thin tear drop and hour glass shap were present at fledgling, one of them she turned to be also split for OB when she finished her first molt, i was able to see clearly white dots in the flanks.. I 'll put a pic of her

Okay thanks. If one baby in the litter has a visual ob split wouldn’t that mean the other is ob split also?

Yes that is true and some can/Ob i doesn' t shown any marks, only way to check that is by making a breeding check method (back cross)
