Popped out yesterday

Post by MariusStegmann » Wed Jun 12, 2019 8:26 am

These little guys zipped out of their nest like rockets. Owlfinches are my 2nd favourite baby finch.

MariusStegmann - Marius, they are adorable! I always loved owls but haven't had any in a few years now. I might have to look into getting some more in the fall (if by then there will be bird marts again in our area. For now everything has been cancelled because of the dreaded Newcastle Disease).

isobea Hope you can get some. Here in South Africa, it is quite easy to get them, but to get a true pair is difficult. There is a saying where it applies to owlfinches. "A pair is 2"

Well done Marius. Keep them warm in these cold nights!
