JohnBoy, the cage is 38 wide x 22 deep x 36 high. It sits on a stand and can be moved easily.

I guess depending on the personalities/agression of the birds I was going to do 1 pair if aggressive during mating or 2 pair if they are not agressive. Last time we saw the breeder he had Blue Billed Fire Finches, very pretty. He has Diamond, Shaftails, Stars red (only males) and some yellow (pricey). He also had Melbas, Green Singers, Red Cheek and Blue Capped Cordon Blue, Lavendars, Gold Breast, Helenas, Societies, Cuban melodious, Silverbills, Java, Spice, a few parrot finches, Canaries, Gouldians, quail. He may have Fawn Owls but they are really pricey.

Well I was like a kid in the candy shop :)

Candace, no Gouldians aren't out of the question. The more I see of all the color variations the more interested I am getting. I can't wait to see what the breeder has. I would like to start traveling further to shows for different species and bloodlines as I slowly build my collection.

Cavaliers are very endearing, mine like to sleep on the bed with us. Zoe is everywhere I go, she follows me and is an absolute sweetheart, even though she is a total clown. I mentioned a few times before that I am in rescue. I have not fostered yet, my husband is afraid I would want to adopt the ones I would foster. Right now I transport and go into shelters, picking up abandoned and neglected, no longer wanted Cavaliers.

I helped with a pair of Blenheim puppies last year, oh that was so tempting to keep them. they both found wonderful adoptive homes. I don't know if I could own another type of dog after owning them. You are right though they are on their own time clock especially Cali.

The pics make the cage look really big. I thought it was a walk in flight.
Cuban Melodious finches are on my want list. I will probably get a pair after I get my Black cheek waxbills and Yellow-bellied waxbills next week.

I was taking the picture through the nestbox door, I did a zoom shot to get the detail.

Right now, there is a mocking bird chirping outside and all the owls hear it and are chiming in...chirp feast!

Cindy....don't listen to anybody else's ideas for bird choices.

You must get OWL FINCHES....that is the only choice I see for your cage!

I have two pairs already, they are one of my favorites. I am just waiting for chicks. One pair is active and mating but nothing yet.

The breeder may be getting fawn owls but they are $225.00 a pair...ouch!!!! If he has owls again, I may get one more pair, not sure yet.

I added more blossoms. I think it is done now!

I think it is time to step away from the cage and go get the residents now! Can't wait for the weekend.

Put down the red blossoms and back slowly away from the cage Miss!!!!!!

Very nice! You can come over to my house and decorate my cage too!

When are you going to get some finches to put in there? I just hope you will be able to see them once you get them....they have so many nice little places to hide in.

Curious; for anyone using artificial plants.. how often do you clean them and how do you go about it? I'd imagine most are not dishwasher safe.

I've always toyed with the idea of adding some but the cleaniness factor has always made me shy away from doing it.

Beautiful setup. Can't wait to see it with some little ones in there.
