HQ double flight from Birdscomfort

Post by mattz » Tue Nov 24, 2009 6:09 pm

Hi all,

First off, Happy Thanksgiving!

I do not work or have any connections to Birdscomfort or HQ. I just wanted to write to say that I am very satisified with them both. I ordered a cage late last week from Birdscomfort and it arrived very quickly and in good shape. It is nice when a transaction goes smooth, and this one did.

The cage itself is great. This is my second, I've used one for about a year now. They clean easy, the divider makes it a breeze. They are well constructed and easy to put together.

Mods, please move or delete as appropriate, I'm not selling anything, I just thought others may be interested.

I have a double flight and six single flights, all HQ. I love these cages, especially the double flight.

No need to move or delete your thread, Matt, it is just a personal endorsement.

Thanks for the tip Matt. I'm probably going to be looking for some new bird cages in a while.

I also have two of the single HQ flight cages and I love them. I ordered the double flight yesterday and expect delivery on Dec 1. Since it did not go well putting the two new hens in with the two boys I decided to get a double flight and house the boys on one side and the girls on the other. I am hoping they will get use to seeing each other and that I may be able to remove the divider in a few weeks. My little 8' X 10' bird room is getting to extremely full.

My singles are in the sandstone color and the green. I do recommend the lighter color, it doesn't show the bird dirt (poop) as much.

From my observation, the most important thing about a cage is its length. The longer it is, the longer a bird can stay in flight and the more exercise it gets.

IMHO, even a single bird should have a cage that is 4-6 feet in lenght. When birds are in a cage that is only 2-3 feet, they just tend to hop and not fly in a sustained manner.

But again, this is just my very inexpert opinion garnered from watching a motley crew of zebras.

I have the tan/sand color flight cage, it holds up very well. My shaftails love the space.
