Hubby told me this weekend that he wants to do another one! I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. It took me 4 years to get this one built. How fickle even they can be....

Looks great! Your birds will be happy campers!

What did you use on the bottom of your aviary?

I put wood chips. I clean in there every other day so nothing has a chance of getting wet. I have a small fountain now and honestly they are so happy.

Decorations....LOL!
Those are dollar store vines and some have flowers. My daughter put the butterfly stickers on as well. Another dollar store purchase.

If he builds another I will be able to put only breeding birds in the cages. I will have enough cages to keep all my birds from having any thoughts whatsoever about who is who's baby.

I do honestly know who is who's baby anyway as I keep my birds separated. The only community cage has juvies in it.

I do have 2 handicapped birds that have mates that are in a very large flight. This will be their life long home. One of them caught a toe on a wood perch and the other the band got caught on the wicker nest.

NO WICKER in there! Funny how fast all the wicker nests made it to the burn pile.............

That is one good looking aviary and so nicely arranged too! I could see myself sitting in a hammock just watching the birds and sipping a lemonade.

Yeah...the hammocks outside allow the bird poop to land right in your lemonade (happened to me for real) This is much nicer and can be enjoyed on rainy days too :D

Ewww :-@ ....thank you for that heads up....I guess an umbrella would be helpful.

Would bird poop be considered in the veggie or protein food group?
